Rastan is a side-scroller platformer with swords; Super Mario, but starring Conan the Barbarian instead.  It’s a great little game, and was ported over to the 8-bits at the time (I had this on the Master System).  It’s a cool example of arcade games of the period; fluid and colourful but not hugely technical, and easily accessible.  It is also fairly difficult and requires skill to progress.

I like it.  You get power-ups, different weapons, some hard bad-guys, and a varied amount of levels.  It’s a quick fix, so a perfect arcade title.

Playtime = 15 minutes

Verdict = Simple scroller.
